Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland
Justin and I went to the Detroit Tigers game when they were playing Cleveland at home. This is such a great stadium. Here is some history behind the different stadiums that the Tigers have played. Also as an FYI – they have a pretty impressive fireworks show on Friday nights. Always love going games at Comerica Park.

Congatulations Amanda & Andrew!
Best wishes to Amanda & Andrew!!! Today was Amanda & Andrew’s wedding in Mt. Clemens, MI. They were married at St. Peter Catholic Church and their reception was at Lakeland Banquet & Event Centre in St. Clair Shores, MI. It was just starting to drizzle a little before the wedding, but after the ceremony when the doors where opened, the sun was streaming through. We had a lot of fun and the weather turned out to be a beautiful day!

Canoeing and Camping on the Buffalo River
Justin and I went on a great canoe and camping trip on the Buffalo National River this past weekend. In the heart of the Ozarks, the Buffalo River was America’s first national scenic river in 1972. The 150-mile-long free flowing Buffalo offers both swift-running and placid stretches, towering limestone bluffs, woodlands, trails, and nature watching opportunities. I really wished we were staying for longer than a weekend. We canoed during the day and then set up camp on the side of the river for the night. We canoed around 35 miles of the river starting west of Ponca and canoeing to just past Hasty. This stretch of the river has class I and II rapids which keep you on your toes. I can’t wait until we have an opportunity to go back and explore more including the waterfalls off some of the trails.

Broad Street Run – Philly
Today Debbie and I ran in the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia, PA. The run supports the American Cancer Society. The funds collected go towards research, financial support to patients, and education to encourage cancer prevention and detection.
This was my first 10 mile run and I am happy to report I finished! It was a lot of fun and great to run around the Philadelphia downtown area. I hope I have the opportunity to run this race again next year. If you are interested in signing up click here for more information.
