Appalachian Trail
Today Justin, Debbie, Jason, and I walked part of the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania near the Lehigh Valley. This was my first experience walking on the Appalachian Trail which made me even more interested to explore even more of it. We walked a nice section that lead us up to a bluff. It was a great feeling to get to the top.
Carolina Puppet Theater
This was a fun event to watch. It was very interactive for the kids in the audience and they also got a chance to act out the story – The Gingerbread Man – very cute. The production is put on by the Carolina Puppet Theater. This show was at the Holly Springs Cultural Center.
Race for the Cure
One in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime. That number is pretty scary. The Komen NC Triangle Race for the Cure is on June 9, 2007. They have a ton of different events to fit any fitness level. The funds raised from this event go towards breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in our community, and support the national search for a cure. I’ll be running the 5K.
