Yolanda and Tim - Report to the Dance Floor

Congratulations to Yolanda and Tim!  They were married at Bazzel Creek Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina, NC.  The service was beautiful.  The officiant, the music, the vocalists….I got chills many times {and it was a HOT day}.  I love ceremonies where you can feel the passion, support, and love.  It always makes me wish that Justin was there with me during ceremonies like this so I could squeeze his hand or catch his glance with a smile.  I am sure everyone attending felt the invigoration from the ceremony as well.

We then headed over to the Wake County Shrine Club in Raleigh to start the celebration.  I am not sure if Yolanda and Tim put in their invitation “Dancing at the Reception is Required” or what, but there was never a shortage of people on the dance floor.  It was great!  Everyone was having so much fun!

Breaking Paul: Making Him Smile Like a Champ

Okay so I know there are many of us out there that don’t particularly enjoy getting our photograph taken - me included. {I prefer to be behind the camera, not in front of it.} So it is natural that some people have a tendency of forgetting how to smile when we are in front of the camera. Paul is one of those lucky people. The good news is - Paul, his bride-to-be, and the whole bridal party knew it and were up to the task to to do anything to make Paul smile naturally. I think we succeeded. Thanks to everyone that helped Paul - his groomsmen surely did their job ;-) A big thanks to Paul for his willingness to play along.

Congratulations Andrea and Paul!!! They were married at St Blaze Catholic Church in Sterling Heights, MI and the reception was on the water at Mac and Rays in Harrison Township, MI. We had great weather, lots of sun and not a spot of rain in sight.

Just LOOKING for an excuse to get RID of that Bridesmaids Dress???

Okay…I know there may have been the lucky chance that you were in a wedding where you absolutely LOVED your bridesmaid dress; but what about those other ones in the WAAAYYYY back of your closet??? I just found out about this great website - http://thebridesmaidparty.com/

Okay, so the gist is that you can donate your old bridesmaids dresses to help empower poverty stricken, abused women.  The Bridesmaid Party set up a program with Hopecraft & Rubia (non-profits) where your dress breathes new hope to women in Lea Toto, Africa and Darra-i-Nur, Afghanistan.  They reuse your beloved bridesmaid dress; transforming it into a different product making everyone overall much happier.

As a special bonus,  http://thebridesmaidparty.com is offering a $25 credit towards future purchases on their website (applied $40 or more purchase).  So not only do you get to clear out your closet and help women around the world, you also get to pick up a few cool things for your wedding or event at a nice discount.

Here is the link to get more info on donating your bridesmaids dress

Yolanda & Tim’s Engagement Portraits

Yolonda and Tim were awesome to work with.  They knew how to forget that I was even there and just fall into the moment during their engagement session.  I LOVE the way the images from this session turned out.  I have so many favorites.

They did too and decided to order the customized guestbook for their wedding day.  The You and Me Guest Book is a great way to share your engagement images with your guests as well as have a wonderful keepsake from your wedding day.  The You and Me Guest Book is set up to have some pages for the guest to sign interlaced with full page images.  I liked it so much as well, I ordered one as the sample.  Make sure to check it out when we meet.

So today I found out that one of photographs of Keego was selected as a Runner-up in the Double Exposure Challenge: Picture your pet.  Here is a link to his photograph.  Exciting to find out one of your photographs is selected for a contest.  Keego is so cute, so how could someone pass up a photograph of him…
