Happy Spring. I wanted to share a couple of things with you. This is kind of a random catch-all blog posting. Make sure to read the inspirational quote below. I hope it speaks to you as it did to me.

Portfolio Update:

I read this quote and wanted to share it. When I read it, it made me stop and read it again. It’s always good to be reminded to make the most out of any situation.

Giving Back:
Finding this quote was just another affirmation to keep me thinking about a project to submit for ShootQ. I have wracking my brain try to think of a project idea that I can submit. ShootQ Grant is a $10,000 grant given to a photographer to fund a project that raises public awareness about an important social, environmental or economic issue. Check out the website to read more about ShootQ. I have thought of hundreds of ideas already, but the rules state that projects that already received funding from other organizations are not eligible.  This has knocked most of my ideas out of the running. This stipulation in the rules means that the project has to be on an issue that is not in the limelight yet. It has to be known by few and brought to light by the selected photographer. What an honor. Now I just have to find an unheard voice and tell their story. Do you know of something that needs action? I would love to hear any of your ideas!
