I am very excited to announce the first Scare Away Hunger event. This event is to collect food donations for the Food Bank of NC. Come out to the Holly Springs Cultural Center to get your free Halloween Portrait. All you need to do is bring a bag of food (non-perishable) for donation. You will receive a free 4×6 with your donation (one 4×6 per child). Additional donations are welcome as well to help collect more food for the food bank. After your portrait, stay for the Legend of Sleepy Hallow performance. Hope to see you there!Further Details:

Drummers
Again, another great performance at the Holly Springs Cultural Center. The Drummers made you feel the beat – it looks hard to do.

So much going on at the Holly Springs Cultural Center
Make sure to check the calendar frequently at the Holly Springs Cultural Center. They are always adding events, classes, concerts, and more to their schedule. Today they had an International Day with desserts from around the world.

Triangle Brass Band
The Triangle Brass Band played this evening at the Holly Springs Cultural Center. I really enjoyed photographing the band. I was in the band in High School. I was a Drum Major and also played the flute. Brass instruments really hit a cord in my heart. I love the look of them – all the curves of shiny metal. I think it also stems to the wonderment and envy of the players. How with only a few keys (if any) they can get such a tonal range of sounds. The Triangle Brass Band was great so make sure you hunt down their next performance!

Steve Logan at the Cultural Center
Don’t forget that the Holly Springs Cultural Center has free outdoor concerts. It was great to hang out and listen to Steve Logan play. Hope to see you at the next concert!

Carolina Junction
Carolina Junction performed at the Cultural Center in May as well. Carolina Junction performs traditional sounds of bluegrass pioneers, original songs, and contemporary styles of today. They have lots of energy and a great personality. Check out their schedule online.
